FAQ's
FAQ’s: Here we have compiled some information that should answer most of your questions as well as a detailed explanation of our process/workflow. Please read this in its entirety.
-
Do you charge for drawings? Nope. Your custom design is included in the cost of your tattoo. There are also no hidden fees on top of the cost of your tattoo. But our drawings are in our style only, so if you don’t see what you are looking for represented in our portfolios, we are am most likely not the artists for you. If you like our finished tattoos, you will like what we design for you.
-
Can I see the drawing prior to the appointment? Also no. We will not look at your emails again until the night before your appointment when we will sit down after finishing a full day of tattooing, re-read your email and compile the references you sent over to design your tattoo. It takes us many hours to draw a tattoo, and sometimes we have more than one drawing to do in a night. It is literally homework. This is why it is IMPERATIVE that you provide us with ANY AND ALL information that you want included in your tattoo. We can not read minds, so if you want something specific in your tattoo, please let us know what it is. We don’t mind you being specific prior to the appointment, but if you show up to the appointment with a change, we may not be able to tattoo you that day.
-
Can I change the design when I see the drawing? Due to the answer above, no. The hours it takes to carefully compose, design and fit the tattoo to your body does not allow the option to change it. Again, if you have specific elements or compositions you want in your tattoo, please provide that prior to the appointment and before we begin your drawing. Your tattoo is designed based on the data you provide so don’t be shy with providing what you like/don’t like to give us all the information we need to do the best drawing we can.
-
What if I want to change my tattoo idea after I submit the deposit? We do not allow changes to the overall idea once a deposit is made. The artist has agreed to do the tattoo based on the idea you presented to them and any major changes will result in forfeit of your deposit. Please be sure the tattoo you are contacting them about is the tattoo you want.
-
How long will my tattoo take? What is the cost? There are so many factors that are involved with your tattoo that providing you with a price prior to completing the tattoo is impossible. All custom tattoos are $200/hr.
-
Will my tattoo be painful? There is always discomfort that comes with getting a tattoo as they are by no means painless. The first 10 minutes of the tattoo are the most uncomfortable due to your body being in fight or flight mode, then your endorphins will kick in and you will relax.

-
Can I use numbing cream? Definitely not. You absolutely want your body to go through the tattoo in a natural way so that when the endorphins are released, you can relax. With numbing cream, your body never has the chance to do this and then when the cream wears off, you are experiencing ALL of the pain from the beginning all at once and that is way worse of a feeling.
-
How do I heal my tattoo? We use a second skin called Derm Shield. It is applied immediately after your tattoo is completed and it stays on for 5-7 days. You will have to take it off yourself (in the shower with warm soapy water) as it will not come off on its own. After it is removed, your tattoo is fully healed and you can resume swimming and other activities, with sunblock of course. While the film is on you need to refrain from submerging your tattoo in water (no pools, hot tubs, baths) and exercise that will cause you extreme sweating, such as running 5 miles in July or hot yoga. Normal exercise is absolutely fine. When you take the film off, there is nothing you NEED to do to your tattoo, but if you want to moisturize it that is fine. You can use whatever lotion you use on the rest of your body.
-
What should I do prior to my appointment? Get a good night's rest, refrain from alcohol or drugs prior to and during the appointment. Eat a good meal. Wear comfy clothes that allow the tattoo area to be easily accessible. Please don’t wear articles of clothing that you love and that may be ruined by ink. Come by yourself, or with a supportive friend that will add to the experience rather than take away from it. Also, please leave all children/babies at home. The atmosphere is pretty quiet and we do share it with other people, therefore we want to be considerate of everyone's experience.
-
What forms of payment do you take? Zelle and cash are preferred. We also take Venmo, all debit/credit cards, we even have Tap to Pay. Tipping is optional, but it is always appreciated by the artist who has worked hard to give you a permanent piece of art.
-
What if I have to cancel my tattoo? Please make sure that you are absolutely 100% available for the day you schedule your tattoo. All appointments require a non-refundable deposit and you will forfeit your deposit if you cancel your appointment. Rescheduling is considered a cancellation as the day and time was reserved for you (like a concert ticket).
