FAQ's
FAQs: Here we compiled information that should answer most of your questions, along with a detailed explanation of our process/workflow. Please read this entirely.
-
Do you charge for drawings? Nope. Your custom design is included in the cost of your tattoo. There are also no hidden fees on top of the cost of the tattoo. We are first and foremost artists and our drawings are in our style only, so if you don’t see what you are looking for represented in our portfolios, we are most likely not the artists for you. If you like our finished tattoos, you will like what we design for you. You are placing your full trust in us to design a tattoo that we will both be extremely proud of.
-
Can I see the drawing before the appointment? Unfortunately due to a full calendar of appointments and 8 hours of tattooing daily, we do not have the time to look at future appointments and draw tattoos ahead of time. We won't look at your emails again until the night before your appointment when we sit down after finishing a full day of tattooing, re-read your email and compile the references you sent over to design your tattoo. It takes us many (many) hours to draw a tattoo, and sometimes we have more than one drawing to do in a night. It is literally homework and we are often drawing past midnight. This is why it is IMPERATIVE that you provide us with ANY AND ALL information you want included in your tattoo. We cannot read minds, so if you want something specific in your tattoo, please let us know what that is. We expect you to be specific before the appointment, but if you show up to the appointment with a major change in composition or design, we may not be able to tattoo you that day.
-
Can I change the design when I see the drawing? If you have major changes, then no. The hours it takes to carefully compose, design and fit the tattoo to your body do not allow for easily erasing or adding to it. Again, if you have specific elements you want in your tattoo, please provide that information before the appointment and before we begin your drawing. Your tattoo is designed based on the information you provide so don’t be shy about telling us what you like/don’t like to give us all the details we need to create the best drawing possible. We are not unreasonable people and can accommodate MINOR changes (within reason based on the artist's opinion) that do not affect the composition or overall design of the tattoo.

-
What if I'm not comfortable with not seeing the design before the tattoo? Understandable, but trust is the key here. By choosing us, you are trusting our professional expertise to deliver a 100% effort in creating a piece we can all be proud of. Some potential clients expect us to make exceptions to this, but we are unable to cater to everyones needs and maintain a healthy work/life balance. Our portfolios are a very clear testament to our work in both design and tattooing ability.
-
What if I want to change my tattoo idea after I submit the deposit? We do not allow changes to the OVERALL idea once a deposit is made. The artist agrees to do the tattoo based on the idea you presented; any major changes will result in the forfeit of your deposit. Please be sure the tattoo you are contacting them about is the tattoo you want.
-
How long will my tattoo take? What is the cost? Because many factors are involved with your tattoo, providing a price before completion is impossible. All custom tattoos are $200/hr.

-
Will my tattoo be painful? Discomfort always accompanies getting a tattoo because they are not painless. The first 10 minutes of the tattoo are the most uncomfortable because your body is in fight or flight mode, then your endorphins will kick in and you will relax.

-
Can I use numbing cream? Definitely not. You absolutely want your body to experience the tattoo naturally so that when the endorphins are released, you can relax. With numbing cream, your body never has the chance to do this. When the cream wears off, you experience all the pain from the beginning at once, which is a much worse feeling.

-
How do I heal my tattoo? We use a second skin called Derm Shield. It is applied immediately after your tattoo is completed and it stays on for 5-7 days. You must remove it yourself (in the shower with warm soapy water) as it will not come off on its own. After removing it, your tattoo is fully healed and you can resume swimming and other activities, using sunblock of course. While the film is on you must refrain from submerging your tattoo in water (no pools, hot tubs, baths) and avoid exercise that causes extreme sweating, such as running 5 miles in July or hot yoga. Normal exercise is absolutely fine. When you take the film off, you don't NEED to do anything to your tattoo, but moisturizing it is fine if you wish. You can use whatever lotion you use on the rest of your body
-
What should I do before my appointment? Get a good night's rest, refrain from alcohol or drugs before and during the appointment. Eat a good meal. Wear comfortable clothes that allow easy access to the tattoo area. Please don’t wear articles of clothing you love that might be ruined by ink. Come by yourself or with a supportive friend who will add to the experience rather than detract from it. Also, please leave all children/babies at home. The atmosphere is quite quiet, and since we share it with other people, we want to be considerate of everyone's experience.
-
What forms of payment do you take? Zelle and cash are preferred. We also take Venmo, all debit/credit cards, we even have Tap to Pay. Tipping is optional, but the artist who worked hard to give you a permanent piece of art always appreciates it.
-
What if I have to cancel my tattoo? Please ensure you are absolutely 100% available for the day you schedule your tattoo. All appointments require a non-refundable deposit and you will forfeit this deposit if you cancel with less than 48 hours' notice.
